WATER
ON THE WEB - Water on the Web (WOW) offers unique opportunities
for high school and first year college students to learn basic science
through hands-on science activities, in the lab and in the field,
and by working with state-of-the-art technologies accessible through
a free web site. Teacher and student lesson plans can be found on
the site under the headings "Teacher" and "Student".
Real water quality data, provided in real-time and archived formats,
is obtained through the project's Remote Underwater Sampling Stations
(RUSS).
Water
USGS - The USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) investigates
the occurrence, quantity, quality, distribution, and movement of
surface and underground waters and disseminates the data to the
public, State and local governments, public and private utilities,
and other Federal agencies involved with managing our water resources.
